Yeh, I don't know if my thing's as strong as any of your guys', but I kinda have the same sorta thing that happens to me, but it's not usually anything big... I'm still quite sceptical on the whole of it because sometimes it's a little too vague for me to actually believe my stuff through-and-through, but I have strange dreams and serious deja vu almost every day, along with often thinking things right before they happen... but I don't think it's creepy or spooky or whatever that you kow what's going to happen, I think you've got a lot better of a hold on your stuff than I do! lol.
Anyways, even though it's sometimes not fun to know things, you have to admit it is quite intriguing when they do... and you're thing's good, not bad. :) (this stuff probably isn't helpful or anything, but I just wanted to say it lol...)

uh... I kinda have the same ability as you I think.. just that I think of things before they happen, I don't see them in a vision, or dreams, I THINK about them, I make them happen in my head and then it happens here, in the real world..

I too have foreseen big things.. I may have predicted 911 and this economic downfall .. Like yourself I cannot pinpoint the people who will be hurt, except I always know it will be big.. and affect many many people.. that I always do know... and always do feel..

I think within reading your story I wanted to comment you. Yes you're very blessed to have such a gift I even feel very honored to write you. And yes you are here to help....there maybe times where the encounters with visions and/or dreams may not give clues of who or where exactly (like the story you mentioned). It seems as though you said you are afraid sometimes to be correct ..I think that fear of being correct maybe be what's stopping you from fully opening your dreams and visions. You must believe in your truest self from within your heart regardless of how people treat you. They don't see you as who you are and what you know. You are a great contribution to this world and to anyone you encounter. I'm sure your a wonderful person and your not spooky at all. You're very gifted. So don't doubt that and maybe try focusing deeply on whatever it is you experience whatever you think might help to what's happening. I'm sure you will find a way, this mental-block or vision-block whatever you want call it will see you through. I pray and hope for your well-being and that your gift expands unto the world...
