It was really great to share your story. I read about OBE's in books but its so nice to have them come from "real" people like you and me. Earlier when my Empathetic gifts were first beginning to come on-line I encountered extreme difficulties not getting bogged down in other people's energies I was receiving. I found that adding a filter mechanism onto my personal shield reduced unwanted baggage from others considerably.
I just imagined a giant filter on the outside of my aura and mentally programmed it to keep out certain things I was encountering from other people. I became more at peace around social settings and found my growth in other psychic abilities steadily improved. Try it out sometime I hope it works for you and good luck with your musical gifts!
I believe, by the way, that degrees in Musical Therapies are currently growing within the medical communities maybe there's a job out there at a hospice or medical center for you!
