Hi, I'm 14 years old and I'm from Pennsylvania, I thought your story was interesting when you said you saw someone standing at the top of the stairs and they looked like they were in pain, maybe a spirit is trying to warn you, maybe someone in your family falls down the stairs and gets hurt, and spirits are warning you about it, I've experienced things when I was 1 month old that was worse then your story.
My mom told me when I was about 1 month old, she was sitting in a recliner chair rocking me, and I was lifting my head backwards on the arm rest and I flipped right out of the chair and SHOULD OF landed on my neck but something seriously caught me and was in the air and I was turned and laid gently on the floor and my mom was surprised their was no one else home that day.
Also now that I'm growing up I'm experiencing things weirder, I've been touched by spirits Hot as fire, and cold as a pool of ice! I also heard a scream it was like a woman screaming from being beaten by a man and this was at like 1:15 in the morning and I woke up from a woman screaming like someone hurting her and it sounded like someone coming in to my room and held me down to my bed, I couldn't move from the waist down, and I looked and nothing was their I just felt a coldness and I had a cold tingleish feeling going down my spine, and I heard a fated sound in the hallway that sounded like a woman's voice shouting at the man like: "You a-hole then I saw a fat man's hand flipping someone off and their was blood on the hand. It was scary!
What's crazier yet, is like 3 years ago when I was 11, I had this little toy robot that took batteries, and it was working fine but then it just went out of control and started chasing me it wasn't programed to chase, but it chased me and my mom took the batteries out of it, and it was still chasing me around WITHOUT BATTERIES IN IT!!! and I freaked out and pushed it down so it stopped chasing me and my mom checked it to see if it had a bad wire or something but...no it didn't, It chased me for like 10 seconds without batteries, and I saw a purplish pinkish light come from the toy! It was crazy.

Don't feel alone your not, this is a gift and its needed. Cultivate your gift by meditation and slowing your mind and concentrating. And then find a like friend to confide in because people are afraid of things they are not familiar with.
