Realistic and Recurring Dreams

by James B
(England)

OK, it all started when I was about six years old. I always used to dream about little things which came true the next day. For instance, once I dreamt about a man talking on the news, when I got up and turned on the TV, it was the same man saying exactly what I heard in my dream.

Between the age of seven and twelve I (and sometimes my parents too) saw images in our house.

At one time I saw an older woman and two teenage girls sitting on the end of my bed. At another time I saw a very skinny figure with a bag over its head standing still. Then there were floating glowing balls (in very large numbers) flowing in one direction. My dad saw an image of me standing in his room staring at him, (apparently I had grey skin).

Between twelve and fourteen (now) I moved house and I’ve started getting recurring dreams, sometimes it would be at a regular place like school, sometimes in the place I have never been. In one particular dream I was in a very large and abandoned shopping centre. I have this dream about every three months. My dreams are becoming more realistic and recurring. Sometimes I will be talking in deep chat to someone I have never even met and sometimes it will be a mix up of places like my house in the middle of a field. Some of them become true, but the strange thing is that when I get up, I’ll remember the whole dream. Sometimes I dream about my future (particularly me (as an adult) sitting in my living room (which looks strangely like my 6th house living room – the house with ghosts).

Also since I moved out of my 6th house, I have not seen any more ghosts again. These dreams happen wherever I sleep (even though I have sleeping disorders) any opinions or guide or something because I am confused.

Unlike 'normal' dreams which are hazy, confused and often forgotten the second you wake up, lucid dreams are special. In a lucid dream you are 'awake within the dream'. You know you're dreaming, yet the world around you seems as 'real' as the one you're in now. So, whether you want to fly a fighter aircraft, sleep with Cameron Diaz or play guitar onstage with your favorite band, you can do it in a lucid dream. It will seem as real as anything you have ever done ... and you'll remember it in the morning too! Fortunately, the simple techniques you need to master to have a lucid dream whenever you want one are no longer the secrets of a 'chosen few'.
