Last night before I fell asleep a boy popped into my head, I didnt know why so I watched as he appeared fully and I memorised his face. Thinking It was possible I asked my self when I would see him. the next day he showed up at my school. I had never seen him before the premonition.

Seeing People At Night by: Anonymous
I go to sleep and then during the night I wake up and see people standing over my bed. Last night I saw a woman I did not recognize standing on my husband's side of the bed. I have seen men I do not know. It scares me at times that I am losing my mind. It doesn't happen every night but often. It did not happen until I bought the home I am in now 2 years ago. Last week I saw a sheet hanging over me and a woman on my husbands side of the bed. What do you make of this. Am I crazy?

Visions Before Sleep by: Goldeneyes
I am 39 years old and this has been happening to me since I was a teenager. I just assumed this happened to everyone. I have seen people, sometimes just faces, sometimes I feel like I am watching a movie, I have even seen car accidents or accidents that almost happened and I actually feel like have the fear of being in the car, it's hard for me to explain..These are images of people I have never seen before, I don't know them.... Just today I found out that not everyone experience this. The reason I found this out, I had a disturbing one last night of a man pinning a woman against a wall in a corner and he was trying to kiss her and she was turning her head and trying to resist his advances, at first I thought that she was just teasing him and then I was over come with the feeling of her resisting...I asked a friend if they had ever experienced something like that and she said she never had, I told my mom about it and asked if she did and she said no, but she remembered my grandmother talking about that happening to her.
I would really like to understand this and what it's trying to tell me!

I have been seeing those types of visions for years... by: Patty
I have been having the same experience for many years, as far back as I can remember. I am not asleep when it happens, but when I am relaxed and close my eyes I see people. They are not still, but engaged in activities or talking to each other. I never know who they are. It is like watching TV or a movie with no sound. The people do not look familiar to me at all, and the can exhibit a variety of emotional states. I have been advised to ask them who they are but so far this hasn't worked. When I was a child, I thought that this happened to everyone, but found out that this was not so! The only other person I know who has this experience is my daughter.

Strange Faces by: Anonymous
Emily, I've been searching the internet for this exact thing for some time now. I've been experiencing the same thing for years. I don't only see these faces/scenes in my mind's eye before I go to sleep though. They can pop up when I'm in the shower, walking down a street, etc... I'm a little skeptical of the whole psychic thing myself, but I certainly have never seen the people that pop up in my mind. Our minds could be somehow creating an amalgam of the faces we see on any given day, creating a quick "snapshot" of a stranger... but who knows. Sometimes I'll picture an image of an animal/creature that looks real but obviously doesn't exist. It's fueled my creativity at best. Despite kind of doubting psychic phenomena, I sometimes wonder about what my Mom once said about it... "ever wonder if these are people who are thinking of you right now?" I thought that was kind of cool.

Strange Sleep by: Greg
I can relate to Emily. When I am going to bed I start to see small different color lights, mists that look like clouds that are sometimes green, red, blue, purple. Sometimes they overlap. Than I see faces. Some times I will envision a face myself and see one with an expression that I was thinking about. I had been dreaming this way since I was a kid.
Now lately a few things have started to occur that are strange to me; one is a black square that seems far away and floats to me, it lasts for at least 8-10 seconds, that triggers the faces coming, than they appear more rapidly. Another strange thing is that I see beams of light that travel slow and are paired together.
And now at least 4 times I have heard strange crazy noise while I felt like I was being attacked. I have read about sleep paralysis and I know that this is what is happening. I felt the pressure and would attempt to get up to be forced back down. Sometimes I make it out of bed and get shoved back. I toss and turn and feel like I am fighting something strong. During one of these dreams I felt every knuckle in my hand being contorted in different directions. The popping sound was very weird, than I was able to control this popping and do strange things with my hand, in a sense, turn my hand inside out. I am pretty sure I am a lucid dreamer and have had control over my dreams for a very long time. I learned to do this by systematically trying to see objects in my mind. I would focus on detail and somewhat create a story to watch and then I would feel the dream start. Then I had control and dreamt lucidly. I could just look up and start to fly. HAHA Ive been to outer space, flied over the country and done circles over my bed. Thats very fun.
Can anyone relate to this. One last thing, I am a classical musician/composer, and for years always put something on as I slept. I have put soft cds together to sleep to. But the music can be loud, heavy Wagner, or Beethoven. I bring this up because when I realized I was listening to music in my dream I sometimes heard other music instead. Once I put on a Bach cd, and in my dream I know I was hearing a Mozart opera overture.

Extra Sensory Perceptions by: ZorbaZiv
The Earth's heartbeat or pulse, known as the Schumann Resonance varies among geographical regions, but maintains an overall measurement of 7.8 cycles per second. Isn't it interesting that when we relax and slow our brainwave frequency down to match the electromagnetic pulse of the planet we find ourselves with resulting extra sensory perceptions.
