Awake in Killing Dream

In my dream there are three men trying to attack my son. I try to get between them and my son, who is walking away, I am thrown to the ground, but see my son turn around, and start to fight them.

I wake in my dream in a crowd, and start asking everyone what happened, it seems like I am at a police station and no one can tell me what happened to my son, then I over-hear in the crowd, that one person was shot and died. I run into an old neighbor and urgently ask him which person died and he tells me it was my son, and I collapse in tears.

In this chilling dream, even when I am trying to find out what happened, I almost already know and my fear is great.
