Falling Hexagonal Star
(Morristown, TN, USA)
In my dream it is a clear night and I find myself in the attic bedroom of an unknown house. I look out the window to a full moon. Something spurs me to open up the skylight on the ceiling and stick my head out onto the roof.
I see a town of rooftops sprawling before me and crystal clear stars.
Then a ball of light and fire begins to fall from the sky. I'm not sure if it's a star, an asteroid, or a comet. A trail of fire and light follows behind the object as it falls from the sky then guides itself through the air and through my window (not the skylight).
I go back into the unknown attic bedroom and the mysterious object remains hovering there in the middle of the room. I can now see it closer and realise that it is made of a bunch of golden hexagons arranged like a 3-d sphere. Within the structure is a huge concentration of light. The objects golden reflective surface is further illuminated by the sparks around it. I wait to see what will happen and the hexagonal sphere seems to silently break apart, losing a few hexagonal cells at a time. A bunch of little golden hexagons fly about the room and stick to the walls. I walk over to one hexagon "cell" stuck on the wall near the doorway of the bedroom.
Upon closer inspection I realise the hexagon has "unfolded" into a "Star of David" shape, the outer triangles seem to be made of clear plastic and firmly fix the hexagonal cell to the wall. The middle of the hexagon, that was once golden, is now open and reveals an inner hexagon made of a hologram material. I quickly look over to where the spherical object had landed, wondering if something (object or being) is inside the sphere (whose inside is beginning to be exposed) if it is not some kind of "ship."
The next thing I know the rest of the sphere bursts into a huge light and a small group of three goofy looking stuffed animal "monsters" appear. This is the end of the dream.
It may be helpful to know that I am an artist and am currently struggling through a project based on the role of sound in cosmic creation. I sometimes have clairvoyant dreams and while I can usually make sense of them this one has stumped me. Before I fell asleep that night I had asked for clarification about the content and structure of my piece, unfortunately I'm still unclear about interpreting it although it "felt" significant.
