Through The Looking Glass

When I was a child, I woke up to a strange light coming from the mirror in my bedroom. I got out of bed and walked towards the mirror so I could check it out. When I approached the mirror, I didn't see my reflection, my room or even the darkness. Instead, I saw an endless hallway, with rows of doors on either side.

Confused, I reached my hand out towards the glass and my hand went through the mirror. It was cold and frightening. I snapped my hand back, held it with my other hand and stood in shock gazing at this other world in my mirror. After what felt like an eternity, my mind processed what had taken place and I ran - screaming - to my parents room.

I told them what happened but of course, the mirror was back to normal. They didn't believe me and tried to convince me that it had all been a dream.

This experience has stuck with me, all through my adult life and I believe that it was the universe's way of peaking my interest in the supernatural. I'm still uneasy around mirrors though I haven't had any similar experiences as an adult. Maybe one day, I'll look into this phenomenon further, but for now, I think I'll stick to my tarot readings and reiki sessions at
